Vita Kolar, born in 1992 in Maribor, is a multidisciplinary artist specializing in visual art in both static and dynamic forms. After completing her studies, she ventured into the world of visuals, initially working as a designer of print materials and album covers for music releases. Later, she expanded her practice to include VJing and began developing her unique artistic expression.
Her work is characterized by an interdisciplinary approach to visual practices. She is active in the fields of graphic design, illustration, animation, installation, set design, VJing, and video mapping. In her creations, she explores the interactions between various media and formats, embracing new technologies while blending them with traditional techniques.
Through digital media, her work manifests as harmonious and balanced compositions with a vibrant aesthetic. She investigates form in a synthetic and contemporary manner, often drawing inspiration from urban environments contrasted with the shapes of nature. Her creations frequently incorporate new technologies and approaches, showcasing a distinctive style of sampling materials and textures from urban landscapes and culture. These elements—such as weathered plaster, tags, graffiti, and remnants of posters—retain micro-elements of their original state, shaped by weathering or urban renewal processes.
